Every single person who visits my garden drools over this plant. This is how it looks right now.
And to be consistent in my preachiness I’ll underline an invaluable trait this shrub-like perennial has – it’s evergreen. As late as March it’ll look almost this good.

Speaking of evergreen…what is your experience with Daphne? I’ve heard it smells terrific, is evergreen, but can be quite finicky. Have you grown this shrub?
I just recently bought a Euphorbia X martini’Baby Charm’. I still haven’t planted it but was thinking maybe a container. Do you find that yours seeds itself everywhere?.
Kasmira- I have tried daphne several times and have never been sucessful. I think it is worth a try though. When they do well they are gorgeous.
Sandy: another euphorbia i have, E. amygdaloides, multiplied tenfold in its first year – in the shade – which is just what I wanted. The Martinii didn’t reproduce at all in its first year with me.
I believe what I have is euphorbia x martinii. I moved in last fall, did nothing with it over the winter but the little snow we did get caused it too bend (not break) because it was so tall. Now that Spring is here and it is blooming (basically on the ground) I am wondering if I should have cut it back in the fall. In short, how do I care for it?
