I’ve only looked for garden stuff on craigslist but I found a great strawberry pot for $5 and all the woodchips I could haul for FREE! I mulched my entire work-in-progress backyard landscape. The people lived close to my house, too. I was very nervous about going to strangers’ houses but both families I met were very nice.

Craigslist is excellent. It’s like eBay but cooler. I mainly use it to buy second had stuff, but I love reading the personal ads when I’m bored.
