It’s just a click away – on the new Homestead Gardens Blog. My new gig! It’s not quite ready for prime time yet but give it a look and we welcome your suggestions for it.

Good morning Susan: I like the Homestead Gardens Blog and will review it this evening. Format is good and blog is not cluttered with stuff. Don’t know about advertising as I use a add blocker.
Have a great day,
John
Looks good! You are a busy person.
BTW: Here’s a request: When is the best time to transplant trees? When they are dormant? In the spring? Never?
HI Susan: Homestead Gardening Blog. Has good structure, good layout and good content. The blog in general is not cluttered with a lot of unnecessary side bar junk. However it does need some navigational aids such as “older post”, “Newer Post” and “Home” located at the bottom of the open post.
This is a problem in a lot of blogs. When you are at the bottom of a post or string of posts you need ways to select what you want to do next. You got me to look at this blog at a good time as I am doing a study on building and writing a good blog.
Come back at me any time. Kick me or whatever else you want to do.
John
Back again, just noticed that you don’t have them for this blog either. Also no Rss feed for comments.
John
HI: sorry just found them on this blog, you have to open up the posts.
Did not fing Rss for comments only Email.
John
I like the simple design and the placement of the images really give a nice feel to the blog. The recipe, Fresh Fig Chutney looks delish on the post The Local Cook (Rita Calvert) Does Figs!
Hi Susan,
Your new blog looks great! I love the banner flowers, and the whole thing is very easy to navigate. Your theme rings true for so many people at the moment. Good luck with it!
Also, “for being unfaltering in her pursuit of educating gardens and others about sustainability” I have given you the “Honest Scrap Award” on my Gardening for Nature blog. You are so worthy of it!
Kathy
