ite gardenblog photos are those of Kasmira, whose theatrical offerings teach us that Gardeners are Creative People and Gardeners are Fun. So inspired by her to play with the profile photo, this glam shot from me is intended to show that Gardeners are Capable of Cleaning Up . Or maybe Gardeners have Indoor Lives, Too.
So I’m curious. What does your photo – or lack thereof – tell us about you?

Mine on the Chron.com site is from the day I went strawberry picking, but they cropped it so tight, you wouldn’t know it. I think mine just says, “Not a natural red-head.”
Oh, yeah, hair color. The roots say it all.
My photo says: My focus is on the garden. Or at least, it was back then.
I do need to update. I’ve taken a nice shot in a garden hat that needs to go up there.
(you have to go to the About page to find it!

try that…
Susan,
I had noticed the new picture the other day and wanted to say it, and you look great! I didn’t want you to think there was a weird-o out in California that was blowing it up, and pasting it all over his office walls. Did I just say that? Please ignore.
Thanks, Trey. Back at ya.
In the spirit of full disclosure, this photo also says I’m old enough to gaze longingly at older photos of myself. This one was taken 6 years ago (but who’s counting?) Susan

Mine is over 20 years old, from my East Village Bohemian epoch.
Hair color is not an issue because it’s in black & white, and I’m wearing a hat.
Basically, you would never recognize me. That’s kinda the point!
Although I do clean up kinda nice.
Susan, when I saw your new photo my reaction was, “Cool, she’s letting her hair grow; hmmm, it makes her look younger.”
When I put photos on the Divas of the Dirt site I blur the faces, because there is a group of women involved, not just me. But for the Transplantable Rose blog, maybe an an old black-and-white one could be fun. Thanks for the idea, Xris.

?
So not fair to contrast my very odd photo with your glamorous one! Looks like it’s time for a new profile photo for me.
Mine was taken at a gorgeous local cemetery (www.lakeviewcemetery.com) three years ago. I consented to join my now-boyfriend there for a day of black-and-white photography (him) and horticultural drooling (me).
I don’t have many pictures of myself, but I liked this one as I was sitting within the branches of an old, gnarled shrub (fitting for a gardening blog pic) just outside of a huge stone mausoleum. Eyes are the windows into one’s soul, so I cropped it to include one of my eyes, to show that you’re getting a peak into my soul via my blog, and kept some of the greenery in the photo as well, for texture and the contrast that I so dearly love:
