I'm inspired by your recent drive to get rid of plants that you don't like and/or are too fussy. I'm forming plans to rip out a few nandina. There's just so much more I'd like to do in that space.

It is heartbreaking giving up on plants you love. I had collected a couple 100 tall bearded iris since the early 80s, and transported them to a few different gardens as we moved. Our current garden however just does not have sufficient sunlight due to very mature trees, and I have gradually let the iris go. They were not happy either. I think you'll feel relieved when you can finally let go.

I feel as if I am following you around the garden--I have two Leucothoe to move or shall I say, give another chance to? Leucothoe is fussy, is what I have decided. And sometimes when you think it is feeling dreadful & may need a ticket to elsewhere, it perks up without any explanation, rhyme or reason. Now, where to move my two Leucothoe that are miserable where they???
